An ideal place to relax or to be adventurous. We are located perfectly to give you great access to the beautiful, unspoilt fells, lakes, rivers, tarns and coastline the area has to offer. We are a perfect place to stay to climb Scafell Pike. We have designed and equipped No.2 Roseville be like a home from home.

Traditionally built Log Cabin in a woodland setting, with exceptional views of the Western Fells. Relaxing and Cosy Atmosphere with a wood burning stove. The Cabin comprises of a Kitchen, mezzanine Bedroom, living area and adjoining bathroom. ( I list this cabin for 2 people but would consider allowing up to 4 guests if you contact me especially if you wanted to bring children for instance) Please note this property may not be suitable for guests with specific disabilities if a fire occurred.

Wastwater shepherd's hut comes complete with a double bed, kitchen area with induction hob and a bathroom with shower. Perfect place to start numerous walks from the doorstep including many of the popular Wainwright hills such as Scafell Pike and Illgill Head. Easy access to the lake for kayaking etc.

Whitehaven boasts some excellent visitor attractions, specialist shops, bars & restaurants which are all within easy walking distance, as is the marina - the official starting point for the C2C cycle tour. Ideally located to explore the beautiful Lake District.

It has a dog friendly beach, is great for fishing, has lots of wildlife and has the most stunning sunsets. In winter, enjoy cosy evenings with the fire lit. An ideal base for exploring the Western Lake District and Cumbrian Coast. It is surrounded by scenic walks and activities. It is close to St Bees coast to coast walk too. Situated directly on the banks of the picturesque River Duddon, surrounded by the National Park Southern Fells. Relax at this peaceful place to stay in the Western Lake District. There are plenty of lovely walks from the doorstep. The King George pub is only a minute walk away, serving lovely home cooked food and real ale. The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, known locally as “La’al Ratty” is only a ten minute walk from the cottage. Eskdale Stores is open daily. The cottage itself has been recently renovated and has a secure garden with lovely views, ideal dogs.
