The property is 6/10 mile from a public boat landing where you can fish, kayak or canoe the Wisconsin River. There are multiple parks relatively close that offer excellent hiking trails. Direct access to miles of ATV/UTV trails.

Perfect getaway and a perfect location to get to know Elkader with it’s coffee shops, antique mall, shops, opera house and beautiful Turkey River. Property was homesteaded in 1841 and sits directly across from the courthouse and looks over the famous Keystone Bridge and downtown. Come stay awhile. ***NOTE: Because we are located across from the court house the clock tower bells can be heard from our location. Main part of the house is our residence, Airb&b has separate entrance on the side.

American House 1854 is the oldest standing building in the city of McGregor. It is also listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The top floor has 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a pull out couch in the living room. Both bedrooms have smart TVs so you can wind down and enjoy your favorite movie.
