relax and unwind at this unique and tranquil getaway.This old farmhouse has been beautifully restored combining modern technology creating a synergy of old and new . with views of cattle grazing in the summer to swans and geese arriving to the lake in the winter months. located in the countryside away from the hustle and bustle of city life, only a 5 min drive to shops and pubs ten minute drive to the motorway giving full access to the west of Ireland and beyond to explore.

Cosy Cottage

Kick back and relax in this calm, cosy space in the rolling countryside and just a 40 minute drive from Knock Airport. For something more lively there’s Westport and Castlebar, with their shops, bars and the beautiful coastline and beaches of the Wild Atlantic Way. The 2 friendly cats, Muffin and Bruce, prefer to live outside but like to say hello. When not away working, I stay in a chalet on a separate piece of land close by but not overlooking the cottage. I do respect guest privacy.

We are 3kms from either Monivea or Abbeyknockmoy village with a selection of pubs ,shops, service station, takeaway and playground. its a 12 minute drive from the medieval town of Athenry.

With 360 degree views of the Irish countryside, you will stay in an area that is teaming with wildlife. It is where our grandparents grew up & has been extensively & lovingly renovated & extended by our parents to contain all the modern comforts while retaining many of the original cottage features & outbuildings.

Bridgies Cottage

Bridgies Cottage is situated in the seaside village of Cave, just 2 miles from Clarinbridge, It is a traditional thatched cottage, which has been renovated inside but still keeping most of the old charm and character. The view is amazing , The cottage can sleep 5 adults and 2 kids. , I will provide home made scones on arrival, and will have the fridge well filled ! I live next door so any queries you may have will be dealt with immedietly.

Ballindooley Castle

The Castle rests on about half an acre of land with Ballindooley Lake lying to the south west. It is surrounded by low walls and hedges: with a gated entrance controlled by an electronic security system. Features include 3 murders holes and a dungeon The castle was built by the DeBurgo family (approximately 1480). It had the distinction of being shelled by the British Gunboat ” Helga” during the1916 Rising to disband rebels

This house is a wonderful starting point for visiting the Wild Atlantic Way, Cong, Cliffs of Moher and exploring Galway city.
