LA BOUGANVILLE is a delightful seaside house 5 minutes' walk from the crystal clear sea of Chiessi, a typical village on the west side of the island. Developed on 2 floors, it has a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea on Corsica and Pianosa. The structure and furnishings, as far as possible, have remained those of the past. Now the interior looks vintage with recovered objects. The house is cool but a good air conditioning system doesn't hurt! The courtyard is the place where you spend summer time while in winter we meet in front of the fireplace. All around there are succulent plants and bougainvillea that hide the outdoor shower and the fig tree of the friend next door whose fruits fall into our space and that we invite you to taste.

The location is unique on the island and from here you have a fantastic view of the city of Portoferraio, Piombino, Corsica, Capraia and Gorgona. The house was restored during a project lasting several years, in close collaboration with the National Park and was designed to be self-sufficient and ecological.
