Also, many people like to stop in Adare for a night or two on their way to other beautiful parts of Ireland like Kerry, Cork, Galway or Clare which are all within a 1 hour drive.

12 mins walk, 3 min drive to Main Street, this converted open plan cottage is a lovely place to stay and is child and pet friendly. Excellent train and Bus service. Lots of amenities in the town. Charming 15th Century Castle

Built in the late 1400s, Grantstown Castle has been lovingly restored and mixes medieval architecture with modern comforts. The Castle Is Rented In Its Entirety And Caters For Up To Seven Guests. The castle is comprised of six floors, connected via a stone and oak spiral staircase. There are three double bedrooms and one single. The castle has great battlements which are accessible at the top of the staircase and host amazing views of the surrounding countryside.

Light bright self contained stand-alone cottage that can be let as a two bedroom OR one bedroom. The tariff for 2 nights for 2 guests is 90 Euros per night. Any additional guests are charged at 25 Euros per night per guest. NB. If the booking is for 2 guests AND both bedrooms are used , ie one guest in each bedroom, the price is €95.00 per night for the cottage. Charleville is 3km away with shops restaurants and bars . No smoking or pets.

Lough Gur is also 20 minutes away. This is an ideal touring base for the Midwest, It’s on the grounds of our own house, it’s also on a dairy farm so milking can be seen by guests if requested.
