Osa Marmaris is located in a unique place surrounded by nature and the sea. Nearby you can find the beach, waterfall, surfing spot, fishing facilities, outdoor activities. You will love this place bacause it is a luxury ecovilla where you will feel like one with nature with the highest comfort. Monkeys and macaws come and visit the garden from time to time. Our caretakers, Isaac and Desiret, will be there to help with cleaning and local information.
“This is the place to be to know how special and precious the Osa Matapalo area is. Imagine sipping coffee looking out toward the bay and to see a troupe of spider or capuchin monkeys migrate through the tree canopy in front of your view - Magical. You will see (and definitely hear) howler monkeys and scarlett macaws. While in the area, you must visit the Piro Research Station that is part of the Osa Conservation program. It is only 20-30 minutes down the main road and has the best trails through primary forest we experienced anywhere. Just show up (there is a gate with a welcome sign). Cost is only $15. Look them up on the web. For birders visiting the house, park on the road just past the river just past the school on the main road. The farmer built gates to allow birders access. You will cross off many birds on your list.”
The Jungle Cabina at Casas Colorado has a open floor plan design that is small and rustic, but has everything you need for comfort. There is studio kitchen complete with refrigerator and 4 burner stove top as well as a small kitchen table for dining. There is a double-bed on the first floor with a brand new mosquito net. In the Loft there is a double bed that is accessed using a ladder and a mini-sofa downstairs for lounging. Great for a couple or solo travelers.
“We stayed in the cabin! If you're looking to be up close and personal with wildlife, this place is for you! I woke up in the loft to monkeys swinging about 5 feet from my bed. If you're scared of grasshoppers....maybe stay somewhere with full windows :) This place was a highlight of my trip. I am used to camping in tents, with no running water, so the upgrade to actual walls, running/flushing water, and a stove and fridge was awesome! There are tons of beaches nearby (walking distance) where you will see macaws, monkeys, and toucans. We didn't even go into the "official park" because you are literally in the middle of it when you're at Chris's. We didn't get to surf, but there was plenty of it around. Wish we could have stayed longer...honestly, I could have probably lived in this cabin.”
Take a walk on the wild side! This off-grid bamboo house sits on 6 acres of pristine beachfront in a small rainforest community surrounded by wildlife. If your dates aren't available here, see our other three houses: Casa Bambu, Casa Pina and Casa Sonrisa. They are on this same acerage property in Cabo Matapalo.
“Casa Linda is a special place in an amazing location. The open-air house sits right on the beach on the Osa Peninsula. Each morning you are greeted by the sun and the howler monkeys. The wildlife in the area is unlike anywhere else, both day and night. The house is spacious with a well-equipped kitchen, large dining table, and porch facing the beach. The bedrooms are plenty large each with a closet. Two bathrooms are perfect for a family. We had plenty of room for our family of five. Several other beaches are short walks from the house, and you can see so many animals and plants just walking up and down the nearby roads. Be sure to book some guided tours with William. His knowledge of the area is amazing having grown up in the rain forest. Definitely take a day trip with William to Corcovado National Park! Kirk provided detailed information before our arrival and assisted us in arranging many activities. Responses were always prompt and thorough.”
