Charming Canalside Cottage

Our comfortable cottage has easy access into the heart of Chester. The garden gate opens onto the canal towpath with a ten minute stroll up to our local Cheshire Cat pub. Alternatively, stay in and snuggle up with the wood burner. On a fine day, turn left out of the back gate for a pleasant 35 minute walk, following the canal directly into the beautiful city of Chester. Maybe take a boat trip on the river Dee? Alternatively, Chester Zoo is just a 10 minute drive, continuing down the A41.

A quaint cottage, at Aston Hill Farm, Ewloe

This is a newly refurbished cottage, which was originally a farm workers cottage, on a dairy farm. It’s quaint and very nicely finished. The log burner makes the sitting room very cosy. The cottage is attached to a stable block, and forms a u-shape of out-buildings, including our carpentry workshop. The main farmhouse is close by, but separate. We have large gardens, which guest are welcome to use, including a barbecue and pizza oven. Rural location, but close to lots of amenities.

A decked seating area is furnished with modern outdoor furniture, including a spacious sofa with soft cushions and two matching chairs. A low coffee table enhances the relaxing atmosphere, surrounded by lush greenery and wooden fencing for privacy.

Less than 10 minutes drive to Prestatyn supermarkets, restaurants and shops. Nearby beaches, waterfall, historical houses & castles, great pubs, fishing, riding, amazing walks and lots to do with children. If you want to explore further afield there is so also much to discover in North Wales, Chester & Liverpool.
