Conveniently located 10-40 km from: Hoorn-Enkhuizen-Medemblik, Edam-Volendam-Marken. But certainly also Alkmaar, the Zaanse schans, Amsterdam and not to forget, the coast of Noord Holland.

Under the chestnut tree is our romantic detached cottage in picturesque Schellinkhout. Fully equipped with kitchen, bathroom, TV and 2-person bed with a wonderful mattress. In 10 steps, you are on the sandy beach for swimming, sunbathing and (kite)surfing. Walk along the bird breeding area, cycle in the area, golf in Westwoud or explore VOC harbor towns Hoorn and Enkhuizen. Bus stop and parking in front of the door. 30 minutes from Amsterdam. Cozy restaurant 100 m away. We arrange breakfast on the 1st day!

Description Bed and breakfast In a Glasshouse is located in Oostwoud, in the heart of Westfriesland. It is a cottage-style home located behind our glass studio, in the deep waterfront garden. It can be rented as a B&B but also as a vacation home for a longer period. There is, among other things, a Grand Cafe De Post around the corner where you can eat delicious food and a pizza eatery Giovanni Midwoud that also delivers. A motorboat is available for a fee. Close to Amsterdam, Volendam, Alkmaar and Enkhuizen. The campsite has various facilities such as canoe rental, laundry, playgrounds, table tennis table, fishing spots, restaurant with large outdoor terrace, reception with camp store (including hot rolls), etc. Travel time by car: Volendam 15 min., Amsterdam 25 min., North Sea 35 min.

Located in the protected natural area of the Zeevang polder land (EU Natura 2000), famous for its birds like godwits, spoonbills, and lapwings. The view it offers is among the most beautiful in the Netherlands. Middelie is very near Amsterdam (25 km). Other historical places like Edam, Volendam, Marken, Hoorn, and Alkmaar are never far away (5–30 min. by car).

Oosthuizen Studio, for short and longer stays.

The studio is the top floor of our back house, with its own entrance, small shower/toilet and kitchenette. The space is 10 by 6 meters, overlooking the Beemsterringvaart. It's a 10-minute walk to the bus stop. Bus 314 will take you one way to the historic city of Hoorn and the other way to Amsterdam Centraal. The bus takes 40 minutes to get there. It is best to buy tickets in advance of your visit to Amsterdam travel tickets so that you can use all public transport (26/33 euros)

Blokker "The Fruity Garden" Bed & Breakfast

Welcome to Bed & Breakfast "De Fruitige Tuin" of Paul and Corry Hienkens. The B&B is located in Blokker: a small village in the province of Noord-Holland, located near the historic port cities of Hoorn and Enkhuizen. Behind our house (former farmhouse from 1834) is the B&B: a detached chalet (a high light space) located on the edge of the spacious garden.
