Charming wood and stone thatched cottage nestled on the South slopes of Mont Mézenc, near Gerbier de Jonc (where the source of the Loire river is located), in the Borée district of Ardèche, 8 mins from the ski resort of Les Estables. An outstanding location!
“If you want to find peace and serenity, you have come to the right place. The small thatched cottage is full of charm, well equipped and very cozy. We loved the wood stove which really brings a very warm side. No TV, no internet and almost no network !!! Ideal for cutting yourself off from the world, refocusing on yourself and recharging your batteries in the great outdoors. Hike with pretty landscapes between Haute Loire and Ardèche. Ps: bring board games if you like that.”
Real cozy nest, everything has been thought for your comfort. A cozy place, arranged by Marie with natural and raw materials. The separate bathroom allows relaxation and relaxation. The terrace allows you to enjoy a good time with your favorite reading, to have your breakfast or spend a good evening at the sweetness of the brazier.
“Marie's cabin delighted us! We are very happy with the welcome from Marie and Yves, and the whole service. They paid a welcome attention to the finishes of the cabin (rare point in the airbnb that we visited it must be said), it is a beautiful work of construction, the decor is thought with taste, everything is practical, the bed is comfortable, it's very clean, good privacy in the cabin as on the terrace: you feel very quickly at home, a good job has been done on the atmosphere of the place. Bravo also for breakfast, simple (croissant, fruit juice, jam and yogurt) but delicious: the products are of excellent quality and seem to be chosen and prepared with care.”
It is in the nature, in the National Park of the Cevennes, that is our cabin. Nestled between green oaks, chestnut trees and heather, it is a haven of peace and poetry. Hiking trails leave the hut and allow you to discover the Cévennes landscapes and enjoy the rivers ... Our goat farm is located 50 m from the hut, so if you wish, you can meet our goats, of a rustic and rare breed (more than 800 individuals in the world).
“It is a perfect little cabine with a wonderful view over the valley. It is private and quiet, has coffee and tea facilities, as well as a good boiler, radiators, fans and a hot shower! It is hot during the day and cool during the night. Valérie and Jean-François are gracious and helpful hosts who even helped me park my car on the slope. The world is serene up there, and there are lovely places to walk and swim nearby, as well as great little towns for shopping. Valérie's goats and farm animals are friendly and loving and work very hard, and the soaps they produce are beautifully scented and great to use. I could not recommend this place more, and hope every traveller loves it as much as I did. I wish I could stay forever!”
