My home is a cosy rural dwelling full of character, just a mile from the busy market town of Cookstown, yet set amongst the foothills of the Sperrin mountains for a taste of country life.
“Wow I booked my stay at Sharon and Arnie's at very short notice and received a very quick response and excellent Directions to get me to them. I was completely blown away by the house which is a wonderful home filled with history, artefacts and a very warm welcome. This house is full of wonderful character, do not expect a sterile magnolia coloured plasterboarded box! The room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable, with lovely tasteful furniture. I had a great undisturbed sleep. The shared bathroom included was large, cosy and had a fantastic shower with seemingly plenty of hot water. It was also light and functional with a good mirror (which I appreciate). I only had a short overnight stay (on business), and my only regret was not being able to stay longer (on this ocassion:-) I certainly intend to return with my better half and to explore the area some more. Sharon and Arnie are lovely, friendly hosts who made me feel most welcome and I look forward to seeing them again :-)”
My place is close to great public transport to Belfast, Derry/Londonderry and Belfast International airport. The River Bann runs through Toome and is a short 10 minute walk from my house. My house is five minutes from Winterfell. Game Of Thrones has just finished filming I was very excited to have four actors stay with me.
“We had a comfortable stay with Mary for two nights. Both Mary and her son were very sociable. The bedroom had plenty of closet space and it was nice having an en-suite. If you like a quiet house in the early evening, this is the place for you. Mary has a couple of rooms, therefore, you might be able to chat with fellow travellers in her very large kitchen. There was room to park in the driveway and it was a great location for flying in or out of the Belfast International Airport, approximately 35 minutes from her home. We would gladly stay with Mary if we are ever back in the area.”

“My friend and I booked this last minute just to get away for the weekend to recharge the batteries! Heather is a very thoughtful and generous host. She went above and beyond for us and we really appreciated it. The annex was beautiful inside and had everything that we needed! Would definitely recommend and we will be back!”
