We are situated at the highest point of Kigwema; right above Kisama Heritage Village. The first ray of the sun hits our cottage and reflects on the paddy fields. Our cottage is an immersive deep-forest getaway for urban travellers. Surrounded by 10 wooded acres, you'll find yourself sharing the sunset view with birds in the tree tops, gazing at the starlit skies.

Hosted by the children & wife of a retired Forest Officer, this homestay is an extension of our family home. It is located just 3 mins drive away from Kisama Hornbill Heritage Village and 9 kms away from Kohima Town. We hope to provide a warm & memorable experience for you. We have two adjoining rooms with an attached dining area and a nice big terrace. You'll get a gorgeous view of the Dzouku valley and Japfü peak, Nagaland's second highest peak. On Sundays the hills come alive with music from churches across Kohima. It's a real treat for tourists. (so they tell me) it's a short steep downhill walk to my place but it's totally worth it! if you have trouble walking please let us know and we'll arrange a car.

Also easily accessible to other trekking destinations like Dzukou Valley, Japfu Peak, Mt. Shiirho, Lemvii hill. Our home is a good place to release your stress. You will enjoy the view of a beautifully spread mountains and cool mountain breeze.
