Lambsquay House - Apartment One

Lambsquay House is a beautifully restored 300 year old Georgian Country House, located in the picturesque Forest of Dean, situated between popular tourist attractions, Puzzlewood and Clearwell Caves. A former hotel, it has undergone extensive renovations and is now home to Calico Interiors, a family run interiors/soft furnishing business, occupying the ground and first floor. The second floor has been converted into two self catering apartments with private entrance accessed via a staircase.

The cottage is both family and doggy friendly. 3 bedroom, peaceful, secluded, & large garden

Hidden away on the edge of the ancient Forest of Dean, in the beautiful Wye Valley, with a large secluded garden, accessed by a mile long, narrow, single track lane, hanging with ferns in summer. It's is a fabulous place for walkers and town escapees. Once a woodman’s cottage, with a cosy, spacious interior, fully equipped kitchen, log burner, very comfortable beds, all you need for a relaxing break. Not suitable for young children 1-12, the large garden has a pond and steep terracing.

Valleyside Annexe

Our annexe is a detached converted garage with living/kitchen area, a separate bedroom upstairs and a downstairs shower room. It has a private entrance with its own patio and outside dining space and beautiful views over the stunning Wye Valley. Plenty of walks are on the doorstep and there is a village pub, shop, castle and playground less than 10 minutes walk from the property. Well behaved dogs are welcome (£10 per dog) We are always in contact for any questions you may have.

We are situated less than a mile away from the village of St Briavels. We are fairly rural, so what 3 words is a great way to find us, they are: endlessly.balance.drummers Saint Briavels is a vibrant little village in the Forest of Dean, on the edge of the beautiful Wye Valley. It has an inn, a deli, a church and a castle. A monthly farmers' market is held in the village on the first Saturday morning of every month, where you can buy a whole range of local produce.

The Garden Room

Surrounded by beautiful countryside the Garden Room was converted in 2017 into a cosy, away from it all, self-contained annex. We live next to the property separated by a patio. There is an undercover seating area with a small garden in front. There are three public footpaths crossing the property which enables you to reach the banks of the River Severn without using the road and is also situated on the Gloucester to Bristol National Cycle Route number 41.
