The cottage is located at the back edge of the park in a very quiet place. You can walk directly from the cottage into the forest where you can take many walks and beautiful bike rides. Park de Hoge Veluwe is also around the corner. You can also make nice day trips to cities such as Apeldoorn, Arnhem, Deventer and Zutphen.

The park is very quiet and not surrounded by other parks nearby. The municipality of Putten has designated it as an A-location. It is a nature park (ideal for peace seekers), so do not expect recreational facilities.
