Anemosyrma

Anemosyrma is a traditional beach house in the magnificent island of Milos. Located in the small picturesque village of Agios Konstantinos, Anemosyrma (“anemos” greek word for wind & “syrma” for Melian boat house) is actually the upper floor of a traditional “syrma”, where people used to drag and store their boats to be protected from the sea. The apartment of 50m2 in an open space plan, has a balcony overlooking the sea and it preserves a modern country style featuring unique Cycladic elements.

It is situated on a small bay, with similar moon white rocks as Sarakiniko that form a secluded cove in front of the house, together with Aqua house 1 & 3. Βρίσκεται λίγα μέτρα από το Λαογραφικό Μουσείο και τρία λεπτά από το πάρκινγκ στο Πλατύ Πηγάδι. Αν περιηγηθείτε στα γραφικά μονοπάτια, θα ανακαλύψετε πανέμορφα σημεία αλλά και θα βρείτε αρκετά εστιατόρια, καφετέριες , μπαρ, φούρνους, μίνι μάρκετ, παιδική χαρά.

"Armira" Boat House in Firopotamos

Armira Boat House is located literally a few steps away from the sea in the small, remote, traditional seaside community of Fyropotamos. Originally built by my ancestors in the early 1900s to serve as a fisherman’s cottage and boat house traditionally known as “sirma”, it is a unique example of Cycladic traditional architecture and is one of the very few of its kind.
