A break from the city noise on the remote organic farm Schwarzenberg: The farmhouse is located at 1,000 meters above sea level. in the heart of the Gantrisch Nature Park in the triangle between Thun, Bern and Fribourg. In addition to Irene and Christian, there are eight Angus suckler cows with their calves, three Grisons ray goats. 20 chickens and an old tomcat on the farm.

The property is located in a rural environment, 5 minutes away from the motorway A6, 10 minutes from the Thun centre and 25 minutes away from Bern. The location is a good starting point to visit the Bernese Alps or the Emmental.

In the converted screed of a chalet there is a friendly and bright 1-room apartment with kitchenette and private bathroom with toilet, shower and sink. The kitchen has two hotplates, a Nespresso machine, kettle, fridge and a small oven. Enjoy the distant view of the Bernese Alps or, in bad weather, the satellite TV. The double bed is 1.60 m x 2 m.

This spacious apartment is located in the cozy attic of a typical Emmental farmhouse named Bühlmenschwand. In addition to the hosts, friendly dogs, cats, sheep, donkeys and chickens live on the Bühlmenschwand farm. From here you can enjoy beautiful walks through the adjacent woods and meadows, or further discover the Emmental by car or bike.

The middle floor is furnished for our guests with 3 individually and lovingly furnished bedrooms with comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, a large, bright bathroom (with new shower) - renovated in December 2023 - and a balcony.
