Tromvik is a popular outing area for people in Tromsø and tourists who want to see the northern lights, hike in beautiful nature or experience an authentic fishing village. Tromvik is surrounded by beautiful mountains and is a popular destination for skiers/mountain tours in winter, anglers, mountain climbers and hikers in summer. There is a café in the village with lovely homemade cakes and dinner, open Saturdays and Sundays. The cabin is located right by the sea and has its own quay. From Tromsø Airport it is a 45 min. drive in beautiful nature to Tromvik.

Tromvik is a beautiful village with sea, mountains and beaches in the immediate vicinity. Tromvik and its surroundings are one of the most popular areas to experience the northern lights and midnight sun, as well as hiking areas for skiing, mountain climbing, top tours, fishing, etc. Tromvik is approx. 45 minutes drive from Tromsø Airport. The nearest store is Eide Handel, which is about 30 minutes before you get to Tromvik.

If the weather is clear, it will dance in the sky directly from the living room window. Many unique destinations on foot and by boat that the host can inform about if needed and have maps available in the house.

Authentic and Romantic Lodge close to nature

Authentic and romantic lodge originally built of timber and used for the first time back in 1850 as housing for as many as 10 persons. Situated between the sea and the forest and with the northern light as only light in the dark season this might be the perfect place to enjoy North of Norway. The perfect match for a couple, but will also function very well for up to four persons. It is renovated to a modern standard in 2018, with focus on maintaining the heart and soul of the old building.

Do you want to stay in a beautiful remote place, while still connected to the city? Grøtfjord is located just a 40 min. drive from Tromsø. Close to some of the areas most amazing mountains, fjords, ski and climbing areas. a. Big appartment with 1 bedroom that holds a king size bed and one bunk bed. There is a fold out sleeping couch in the living room. All facilites, towels to firewood are included! A car is needed to get to grøtfjord. The hosts live in a different section of the house.

The cabin is located in the peaceful fishing village of Tromvika, just an hour drive from Tromsø. Here you have direct access to a beautiful white sand beach. There is a charming café just a 15 minute walk away. The cabin is surrounded by mountains that are accessible for both summer and winter hiking at different skill levels.

Min. 4 nights stay due to the long distance from my home and my work schedule. (You can ask though. Availability must be there and price will be different). The house has “all amenities” minus dishwasher. The drive from the airport is approximately 1h. There is no public transportation here so you need to either rent a car or hire me as a driver. Free coffee/tea, some spices, and shampoo/shower-soap
