There are lots of great restaurants in Astoria now, thanks in large part to Baked Alaska's chef, Chris Holen. He and his wife, Jen were traveling from the SW back to Alaska with a food cart serving soup when they happened through Astoria. There was a tiny restaurant in town, and on a whim, they bought it. They've been expanding ever since, and now have a fine dining, a pizzeria, bar and annex for events/parties. Chef Holen is also in a pilot documentary, Chef Outta Water, which documents his chef experiences in Iceland and Australia.

Fantastic view - built on a pier out over the river. Great dinner menu, great happy hour, and very good pizza. Good spot for a romantic dinner or birthday.
