Open daily from 9AM – 5PM at the Algonquin Visitor Centre. There is currently no admission fees to visit the Algonquin Art Room, but a valid Daily Vehicle Permit from Ontario Parks is required for all visitors. Throughout the entire year, the Algonquin Art Room is steadily changing with various artists from all over bringing their art works to display for viewing and purchasing. Each time is a magical visit for guests, it ranges from different paintings from watercolours, acrylics and oil medians, as well pottery, and incredible photography. Definitely a must see while visiting the Algonquin Park Visitor Centre which is home to their indoor Natural History Museum, Bookstore, Café and viewing deck of Sunday Creek. For more information, please visit their website.

-Great place for first time and repeat visitors to have a preview of the prehistoric and historic aspects of the park. -Dioramic walk showing vegetation, animals (bears, beavers, moose, wolves, birds), early indigenous people and how they lived, logging period and early European settlers, early development of railway and tourism in the area. A MUST SEE - REALLY GREAT PLACE TO SPEND TIME PARTICULARLY ON A RAINY DAY. -Excellent 15 minute video with incredible photography giving a brief background of the area from before early settlers. -Great little Gift Shop with lots and lots interesting books for children and adults about various aspects of the park
