Take the Goldline and get off at the Mariachi Plaza stop in Boyle Heights. Mariachi Plaza is a designated historic landmark as Mariachi performers have gathered here since the 1930s. Also at this location is the Boyle hotel which houses La Monarca Bakery on the ground floor if you'd like a coffee shop to relax in while you munch on delicious Mexican pastries. Nearby is Boyle Ave where some of the last remaining Victorian houses in LA still stand. Across the street is Un Solo Sol - a vegan and vegetarian friendly restaurant. From here, you can also walk into the Arts district /Little Tokyo area.
