About 5 minutes walk west of rue Montorgueil street market. Like those at the Place Vendôme (also quite nearby), this circle of noble mansions was designed by Hardouin-Mansart to celebrate a triumph of Louis XIV. The bronze equestrian central statue is magnificent.

Possibly one of the most picturesque square in Paris! Big statue of Louis XIV riding his horse in the center and nice parisian buildings all around. You may go to Place des petits Pères right after which is also nice and then explore wonderful Galerie Vivienne. 5min walking distance
