A very poignant place that is completely worth visiting. Restaurants and a little church in the more modern Oradour Sur Glane next to the Martyr Village, museum and remembrance centre. Would not recommend for small chikdren, but older kids could link to their European history learning, and knowledge of the 2nd World War.

A deeply thought provoking place. Well worth a visit, has been left in exactly the same condition as it was on the day of the massacre.

An emotional, thought provoking experience. Walk around the village and visit the museum. Tragic but certainly worth a visit.

Les ruines du Village Martyr ont été classées Monument Historique le 10 mai 1946. Elles sont maintenues dans l’état où elles étaient au lendemain du massacre, et elles témoignent pour les générations futures de cette atroce barbarie.
