One of the great wonders of the world. Stop by the visitors center for suggestions on what to do while you are there. Hiking, restaurants and shopping.

Located just 77 miles from the lodge is the south rim of the Grand Canyon! Flagstaff’s own 7th wonder of the world. These views will not disappoint!

You can't visit Arizona without seeing the Grand Canyon! South Rim can be accessed by heading north toward Cameron (1 hr 11 min) or by heading south toward Williams (1 hr 36 min). You may enter one way and exit the other for added views! $35/vehicle for a 7-day pass.

The Grand Canyon is on almost everyone's bucket list! In 2018 the park had over 6.3 million visitors! I recommend starting off by driving to the east entrance on Highway 64 to the Desert View Watch Tower and Desert View Drive. If you plan to go to the south entrance near the visitor center, I recommend arriving before 9:00 a.m. during peak season to find a parking spot. Otherwise, you may have to park in Tusayan and take the shuttle bus to the park. Please note the park shuttle bus does not go to the east side of the park along the Desert View Drive or Desert View Watch Tower. The Grand Canyon Railway, located in Williams does daily trips to the Grand Canyon. Reservations are required. The park has a variety of places to eat including picnic areas, cafés, a deli, several restaurants and a store. There are a few restaurants in Tusayan, historic Williams on Route 66 and a few fast-food restaurants in Cameron. Otherwise, your best choice and options will be to dine in Flagstaff. We definitely recommend the Grand Canyon if you've never been! Specifically, the Shoshone Point hike. It's about 2 miles out and back, and not on the Grand Canyon tourist maps, so you have to use Google maps to get there. It is way less touristy than the popular trails with breathtaking views. It's not unheard of to be the only ones on the trail!
