The locals have been coming to the South Fork of the Yuba River for decades for swimming, sunning, hiking, picnicking, and skinny dipping. Watch for rattlesnakes along the trail. We don't recommend hiking or swimming alone, ever, anywhere. Take a buddy.

South Yuba River State Park offers many scenic vistas.
