In Mathallen Food Hall's basement you find Smelteverket, a gastropub with Scandinavia's longest bar and 20 large windows facing the Akerselva river. Smelteverket's soulful fusion-sharing menu offers a fascinating variety of foods; dishes include prosciuttio di parma, jerk chicken wings, pork belly tacos, mini burgers, jambalaya and tandoori scampi. The ever-changing beer menu is always packed with great craft beers from around the world. The kitchen is open until 10 pm on Tuesday-Thursday, 11 pm on Friday-Saturday and 10 pm on Sunday. Every Saturday afternoon a live band plays rock'n'roll, soul, funk or rhythm'n'blues. Smelverket's unique space can be booked either partly or as a whole for meetings and events. There is a full PA system and a projector, and food and drink is definitely not a problem. You can enter Smelteverket directly from Mathallen or from the bridge over the Akerselva river outside.

It's located in the basement by the Akerselva at Mathallen. Don't trust the map on this one. Great selection of beer, a nice chill place with Wednesday and Sunday quiz-time!

Oslos longest bar. Great selection of beers and drinks. Pub quizes, music bingo, stand up comedy, and live music.

Very cool bar in the same building as Mathallen. You have to go one floor down. The bar is 25 meters long.

Located in Mathallen (food court), right by the river side. Large selection of beers, and the longest bar counter in Oslo!
