History History History... it is worth seeing, great photo opportunities, and totally free. Be prepared to walk and it is not ADA accessible, it is the original Fort and is full of narrow passage ways and staircases.

Come enjoy touring a piece of history, dating back to 1698 where the wooden Spanish Fort San Carlos de Austria originally stood, now stands the exemplary work of military engineering. Overlooking the Pensacola Bay, Fort Barrancas built 1844 is a monument of America’s early homeland security.
