Great place to take a picnic and walk down to your right to sit below the overhanging pohutukawa trees. A dog friendly area, great for swimming and surfing. Great views and lovely white sand.

Beautiful beach, NO patrols, lovely stream coming out of the beach, and at the North end you will find the historic sailors grave.

If you're up to the drive to Pumpkin Hill and a quick walk over the hill (about 15 minutes climb), Sailor's Grave beach is one of the most beautiful beaches around.
