Café at the farm Efstidalur where they make their own ice-cream. It is nice to sit there and watch the cows downstairs while you relax.

local food, I recommend going there for ice-cream, it is a cow farm and they make their own ice-cream and you sit down, looking into the cowshed. Very homy.

In the spring 2013 new facilities opened in the dairy farm and Guesthouse Efstidalur, where guests can watch the farmers at work, watch the cows in their daily invironment, the young cattle and the making of milk products such as ice-cream, skyr and feta cheese. Guests can sit down in the café "Íshlaðan" for homemade waffle, homemade ice-cream, coffee and cake, or have a lovely dinner in the restaurant "Hlöðuloftið"

It´s actually Efsti-Dalur II It is in a barn and you can see the livestock through the windows of the restaurant and also the ice-cream shop. They serve what they breed and make, this is perfect for families and for those who love animals, steaks and ice-cream.
