The Isle of Skye is easily accessed via the fantastic Glenelg-Skye ferry - the oldest car ferry in the world! Taking the ferry to Skye saves 45-minutes of driving time. The ferry is open from 10am - 7pm every day and crosses the turbulent Kylerhea Narrows where one can spot seals, otters and sea eagles.

Another ‘must do’ recommendation. Go ‘over the sea to Skye’ on the MV Glenachulish, the last manually operated turntable ferry in the world.
