Located in the famous Chateau Frontenac at 1 Rue des Carrières, bar 1608 is the most beautiful bar in town. Drinks are a little more expensive but it is worth the experience. It is often crowded, especially in high season. I suggest you go shortly after it opens to get a seat next to a window overlooking the St Laurence River. It opens at 4 pm weekdays and 2 pm weekends. You can also take a guided tour of the chateau Frontenac. Just Google "Guided Tour Chateau Frontenac". At the time of writing "Cicerone Tours" charged around $21 per adult.

Le bar à vin et à fromage du Château Frontenac vaut le détour ! De forme circulaire, il offre une superbe vue sur la Terrasse Dufferin dans une atmosphère cosy et chaleureuse. Grand choix de vins et de cocktails, mais on peut aussi s'y rendre l'après-midi pour un cappucino... surtout en hiver, quel délice !
