Hobart's main waterfront area, Constitution Dock, is lined with fish punts (floating restaurants) selling seafood, and the best way to arrive for some food is by kayak. Roaring 40s Kayaking runs a half-day Hobart City trip that will have you paddling along the edge of the city's most historic suburb, Battery Point, and into the docks for a floating fish and chip experience.

Amble to one of the many cafes and restaurants located at Hobart's waterfront and beyond to Salamanca and Battery Point. On Saturday venture to Salamanca market, all on the doorstep of Hobart's Heart. North Hobart on Main Road also has an abundance of food delights, just over one kilometre away.

Heaps of restaurants to go to, the Mona ferry leaves from here. You can book your Pennicott wilderness tours here, which also depart from this location or Bruny island. All tours operate daily all year round except Christmas Day.

Visit the Hobart docks to view the array boats and yachts and to sample the yummy fresh fish available from the punts and restaurants. This area is particularly beautiful at night where the local bars, restaurants and entertainment make for a great night out.
