Alphabet city bookstore is the largest selection of independent, obscure, and asylum authors. Both new and used! Great atmosphere, very nice customer service. Both restaurant and venue for music, poetry, book readings ect. ...free weekly events ! Very cool place!

Amazing wine selection (in addition to a full bar). Cheese heavy menu. Great for a full dinner or just apps and drinks! Beautiful space- award wining historic renovation!

This is the brick and mortar location of City of Asylum. They feature a book store with more books in translation than anywhere in the hemisphere, a venue for music, readings and screenings, and Brugge, a yummy restaurant.
