Altona is a half an hour train ride to the city (Southern Cross station or Flinders street station) Myki fares are: $3,90 one way (valid for trams and trains in the city for 2 hours) Day pass: allows you to get on any trains or trams all day anywhere in Melbourne - $7,80 weekdays, $6 on the weekend.
