Jadeite is a specific type of Jade found parts of Guatemala and border of Mexico and also in a specific area of China. The most common color is various shades of green and black (you can see the green in the black jade in the sunlight). More rare are lavender, white and blue. You will find jade jewelry everywhere for sale. However, the quality and the color is not always good. Some places radiate the jade to make it look like the more rare colors. For a fine piece of Jade, in unique styles, Casa del Jade is the place I take my guests. They also have a Jade museum, and you can look in on their workshop area.
