If you're into hiking/biking/running/walking, etc., check out Jack Rabbit. Well maintained and very safe. Trails follow the shore of Lake Chatuge. Multiuse trails abound.

Once you get to the trailhead, you'll see there are several trails ranging from easy to moderate. These trails are also a mountain bikers paradise!! Pack a lunch or dinner picnic because there are a couple tables you can sit and enjoy your food by the lake before or after your hike :)

Head out on this 4.1-mile loop trail near Hayesville, North Carolina. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 26 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking and mountain biking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. Dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas.
