Why locals recommend it

This suburban chippy is as understated as the muscles on Bondi Beach posers are overstated. Superb seafood is handled simply, and with the care associated with fine dining—which is where chef Joel Best hails from. Grab some of the tastiest fish and chips in Sydney, stroll down the hill, and dip your feet in Bondi’s sands for a classic Aussie feed. Visit outside the busy 12 to 2 pm or 6 to 8 pm rush hours. It’s open all day and mostly queue-less if you know when to go. They also have another sit down location on Hall Street in Bondi Beach. It’s slightly more formal and located near Sydney’s favourite gelato shop, Messina.
