Scandic-meets-The-Lakes at this intimate restaurant, where wooden planks line the walls and sheepskins cover the chairs. Menus come in a surprise format and complex dishes are delivered to the table with equally detailed descriptions. Ingredients are well-sourced and meats are roasted over the fire.

Excellent food, locally produced. A bit pricey but worth it. The team are immensely proud of their produce and even go foraging for local herbs and plants.

It used to be a mystery why it didn't have any Michelin stars but finally, this year saw Lake Road Kitchen get a highly deserved Michelin star. Take it from me, this is the best restaurant in the Lakes.
