Between Navarre Beach and Pensacola Beach lies the most beautiful area I have experience in the US. Sand dunes that look like snow and water on both sides as you drive this georgous stretch of road. Pull off in one of the parking lots and get out and explore

This is our absolute favorite recommendation. At the end of Navarre Beach, you will transition to the Gulf Islands National Seashore. The road will continue for 7 miles of undeveloped land, with the Santa Rosa Sound on the right and the Gulf of Mexico on the left. On a clear, calm day you see bright blue water popping out behind the white sand dunes throughout the journey and your feel like you have been dropped off on a tropical island. They have 2 parking lots, so you can enjoy this secluded, quiet beach! Just be sure to get there early because they fill up.

Gulf Islands National Seashore stretches 160 miles along the northern coast of the Gulf of Mexico from Cat Island in Mississippi to the Okaloosa Area in Florida, and includes maritime forests, bayous and marine habitat. All Florida areas are accessible by car and include some of the most historic forts and beautiful beaches in the United States.
