A lovely walking trail (approx. 4 mile) with a pub at the end. Great for spotting birds and nature. Dog welcome
Just a 5 6 minute walk from the hut is a large nature reserve, extensive greenery and wetlands have created a sanctuary for wild life, lovely long paths meander between the ponds streams and lakes so you can be well in the heart of nature...an observatory in the centre allows you time to observe the many birds that use the facility
A lovely loop through the reserve with hides to go and look at the wildlife on the ponds and across the wetlands. Dogs are allowed but need to be on leads. You can incorporate the local pub The Royal Oak in your loop or stop off at Minskip farm shop. www.ywt.org.uk/nature-reserves/staveley-nature-reserve
