A must stop before touring the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Here you can watch a movie every 30 minutes in the Auditorium Theater, view interactive displays and shop the gift shop. Ask the rangers about the best site to view the eruption, and get hiking information and the latest updates.

A good place to talk to rangers about hikes, etc. Movies about past eruptions are shown.

Start off by checking out the visitor's center and its maps of various points of interest, a small gift shop and evening programs in the auditorium.

The park itself is closed because of the eruption right now 7-2018 however in Pahoa or the town of Volcano there are great restaurants and you can see the amazing glow of the eruption of fissure #8......amazing!
