One of the best short walks in the UK is Craster Harbour to Dunstanburgh Castle. Have lunch at the Jolly Fisherman but best to get there early as it is always busy.

World Famous for it's smoked kippers, smoking house opposite the entrance to the Jolly Fisherman Pub - highly recommended. The prettiest harbour and and a lovely walk along the coast to Dunstanburgh Castle. The food van outside the Tourist Information also serves awesome crab sandwiches to take away.

From the small fishing village of Craster you are able to walk to Dunstanburgh Castle or in the opposite direction along the cliff tops to Howick which is home to Howick Hall Gardens and Arboretum. Howick Hall, a Grade II* listed building is the ancestral seat of the Earls Grey. It was the home of the Prime Minister Charles, 2nd Earl Grey (1764–1845), after whom the famous tea is named.
