Rice is a staple part of Indonesian diets so you can’t miss the opportunity to see where it comes from. You don’t need any Instagram filters for these photos – the lush emerald fields are the brightest green that you will ever see. There are so many great restaurants with rice field views but my favourite is Cafe Pomegranate however do not expect much from the food but the view.

Circular restaurant in the middle of a rice paddy on a scooter or walking trail, a really interesting place for a drink or meal. Access is just east of the "Vine Tunnel" as you cross from Penestanan into Ubud (east of Bali Bridge). Recommend not driving back in the dark so go for early sunset meal but come down the hill before dark sets in.
