Just around 2-3 hours south of Cebu City, Moalboal is a favorite destination of water lovers, specifically scuba and free divers. This small coastal town is best known for its sardine run, wherein millions of sardines form bait balls. What makes this spectacle magical is that the sardines don’t leave the shallows of Panagsama Beach. You can experience them year-round, even with just a pair of swimming goggles. A lot of sea turtles can also be seen in the area.

It's the biggest attraction in Moalboal is the sardine run. You can also just snorkel on the surface and still witness this natural phenomenon. The best part about the sardines is that they’re only 30-meters from the shore. Plus if you are lucky you can also swim with the turtles.

Picture yourself swimming through the tropical blue waters of the Philippines when in front of you a cloud parts engulfing you into a school of millions of sardines. This school acts and views as though its one life form, twisting a turning making for some breathtaking visuals
