Wimbledon Village Stables are the oldest recorded riding stables in England. The first recorded stables belonged to the Lord of the Manor, and are detailed in the Estate’s accounts of 1236-37. Riding here has obviously had a huge impact on so many people, and continues to do so to this day.

Go horse riding through the beautiful Wimbledon Common. Afterwards have a drink at the old English boozer, The Swan, next door to where you hire the horse riding.
