The official residence of the royal family in Palma, now used for the acts of the State only. It features an interesting museum, and a wonderful mix of remaining moorish with the predominant gothic elements.

The Almudaina Palace directly opposite the Cathedral houses the rotating Royal Collection of Flemish Tapesteries from the Spanish Netherlands in the Seventeenth and Eighteenth Centuries. Unsurpassed. Well worth visiting.

The current structure of the Almudaina corresponds to the one built in the fourteenth century with its different spaces; the palaces of the King and Queen, the Chapel of Santa Ana or baths, are the highlights.
