Located along the Tornionjoki River, the cottage is the choice of fishermen and holidaymakers who love the river landscape. Marjosaari is a great place to watch and photograph the Northern Lights. There are several attractions nearby and the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities. You can also easily visit Sweden, which can be reached via the Aavasaksa bridge.

Sonka Resort’s Mirror Houses are set by a frozen lake, surrounded by forest and open sky. Each cabin has a mirrored exterior for privacy, a lake-view glass wall, double bed, sofa bed, kitchenette, bathroom, Wi-Fi, and a projector screen. Local breakfast is available on request with at least three days’ notice. With several BBQ kotas on the premises, guests can enjoy outdoor cooking anytime. Our luxury is peace and quiet under the starry sky and northern lights. You can get there by car, but you don't have to see anyone during your entire stay if you don't want to, but you're still only about 45 minutes from the city center. We are sure that you will fall in love with our peaceful cabin in the middle of snow and northern lights. The cottage is always warm when you arrive, and we will take care of you throughout your stay as if you were our friends.

A cozy and peaceful riverside house by the Tornio River, close to the Arctic Circle. Across the river you’ll see Sweden. Enjoy beautiful sunsets and, on dark nights, the Northern Lights right outside. Perfect for a relaxing getaway or a convenient stop on your way to Lapland or Norway. Great fishing in summer. In winter, Ritavaara Ski Resort is 35 km away and Aavasaksa slopes 28 km away. Distances: Rovaniemi 130 km, Levi 180 km, Ylläs 135 km, Kemi 100 km.
