Heat in cabin is a propane space heater and electric space heater. Overlooking small pond. We currently have bald eagles and golden eagles sighted daily. Close to the snowmobile trail, 4-wheeler trails, horse trails and the Pigeon River State forest. I-75 does run along side of property, but has a tree line which blocks the sight of it.

Clean, cute, and welcoming! PLEASE NOTE: Vanderbilt is a small, quiet town. For more things to do, visit Gaylord (8 miles), Boyne City (15 miles) or Petoskey (20 miles). Please do not book this space expecting otherwise. Thank you. This historic property dates back to the 1930’s-1940’s so please note this home is old and has a wall furnace in the living room, therefore closing the bedroom doors can make it colder in there during the winter months. The "Sunshine Cabin" enjoys ample natural sun year around from its lofty position up in the trees. The large picture window overlooking Big Lake provides a birds eye view (partial view) of both the canopy and lake. This 81’ deep lake has an island and home to many types of fish that's why we brought fishing/recreational kayaks for our guests. The boat launch access is just 1.6 miles from the sunshine cabin. The cabin is secluded on 1.45 acres of trees.
