For decades during the Cold War, the bridge was the place where spies were exchanged.

Here on the northern edge of the Upper Spree Forest, you are in the immediate vicinity of the Spreewald Biosphere Reserve and the Neu Zauche ferry port.

Our tiny house in the vegetable garden is fully equipped with a dry toilet, shower and kitchenette. The car is in the middle of the organic vegetable farm "Gartenfreuden." Here you can enjoy the charm of country life. Although there is a separate area to sit and relax, you can also spread out in the tree house. From here you can explore the Spreewald by bike or Calau Switzerland on foot. Calau train station is about 2.5 km away.
