At any time of the year Baltschieder is an ideal starting point for hiking and outdoor activities, in 30 - 70 minutes you can reach all the major ski and hiking resorts. The apartment is located in the back of Baltschieder. The neighborhood is very quiet with little traffic. The nearest train station (Visp) is approx. 5 minutes by car. The public transport connections are also very good. Various tourist resorts such as Zermatt, Saas-Fee and the Aletsch region are very good and easy to reach.
