Bierkellers were German cellars used to store beer in the 1800's. Come stay at Ste. Genevieve's Bierkeller apartment nestled below the Dr. Hertich House on Main. Centrally located in the historic district, this subterranean apartment boasts original stone walls, dating back to 1801, which was the original foundation before the Hertich House was constructed! This rustic hideaway has all the amenities including a full private kitchen and coffee bar and a gorgeous outdoor garden with a gas grill.

This will WOW most as it has been restored back to its former 1930's glory from her "Rose Du Barry" bathroom to her vintage operational kitchen. Located in the midst of everything downtown and within walking distance to Shops, Cafés, Wineries, Restauraunts, Antiques, State Historic Sites, and Sainte Genevieve National Historic Park. A short drive to Nearby hiking in State Parks, golfing, wineries and our water park. Self check-in. (For the curious) You may see Halloween props in the basement

FUNKS INN no extra guest fee or cleaning fee

This house was built in 1870, it is a stone structure and was used as a family farm home. It has been remodeled for its use today. It is historically correct, which includes antiques of the time. Post Civil War era, furniture including the beds of this period. Another interesting aspect, is that the floors are all original. Mattresses, blankets pillows, bedding and towels are all new. The wine cellar that we have added, made on location. I always leave some out for guests. No fee.
