Forest & Forage House: Finnish wood-fired sauna

Forest & Forage House sits on 11 private acres on Quadra Island, surrounded by mature forest, organic gardens and a large lawn. Beyond the gardens are a traditional Finnish wood-fired sauna, cold plunge and outdoor shower. Designed by architect Rob Wood and built by J. Toelle Construction, its timber frame was made from trees felled and milled on the property. South-facing windows overlook trees and gardens, and the living room has a wood stove. Much of the 20-year-old interior remains original.

The Lund Harbour House is a spacious (815 sq. feet inside + 570 sq. feet of decks) custom, hand crafted suite situated on the waterfront in the Lund harbour. Private & peaceful, yet only meters to restaurants, shops, art galleries, and tour operators along a private boardwalk. It is suitable for up to 4 guests with a well stocked kitchen & fireplace. An adjacent beach area is perfect for kayak launching (yours or rent ours!) and those decks offer Lund's best place for viewing amazing sunsets.

This snug, hand-built cottage features large windows and a deck looking toward Hague Lake and the rocky scapes of Turtle Island. It’s tucked away in a small grove of towering Cedar and Fir trees, but in the heart of uptown Mansons Landing with stores and a bakery cafe just steps away. It is ten min. walk to swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking at kid-friendly Sandy Beach, or a 15 min. walk down to an ocean beach and Mansons Lagoon. Friday Market and Cortes Museum are a short stroll away.

Escape to the Cozy Lakefront Cabin Retreat at Hague Lake, ideally situated on the south end of Cortes Island. The cabin offers a queen-sized bed with fresh linens, a fully equipped kitchenette with a gas stove, mini-fridge, pots, pans, cutlery, and coffees and teas, plus a newly renovated bathroom with a bathtub and shower. Just minutes from Mansons Landing’s co-op, café, and market, and near trails, beaches, and lagoons, it’s the perfect base for comfort and adventure.

Whaletown Lagoon Floathouse

Our " floathouse" has everything a guest could want, privacy and a beautiful waterfront location on the Whaletown Lagoon. There is a shared family dock for launching your kayaks, swimming, or just relaxing and watching the changing of the tides. Its vintage ambience combines much of its original historical nature and water travels with modern updates. A former bunk house for hand logging camps and part of our floating household, its traveling days are now over.
